Address
to the Members on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of ITF Foundation
I, on behalf of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, would like to
present my warm thanks and congratulations to all members under ITF on
the special occasion of the 40th Anniversary of Foundation of International
Taekwon-Do Federation.
May I take this opportunity to pay the most tribute
to Gen. Choi Hong Hi, the Founder of Taekwon-Do and 1st President of International
Taekwon-Do Federation, in the name of the entire ITF family.
The specific and best regards, as well, to Mrs. Choi Chun Hi, the widow
of late Gen. Choi Hong Hi, and her family including Master Choi Jung Hwa.
Since ITF has been formed on 22nd March 1966, ITF had the great achievements
as the precious treasures for the human on this planet and came to reach
today under the countless supports and co-operation from all of you.
During those days ITF had to go through the unexpected difficulties and
ordeals and even today, has to go through the ridiculous challenges caused
by betrayers and traitors. However, it is matter of time and it is our
strong confidences ITF would go forward on the right track and demonstrate
its skills and ability worldwide in the near future as the strongest International
Martial-Art Organization with more fervent supports from you.
In this significant year, ITF plans to have the
big ceremony for celebrating the 40th Anniversary of ITF Foundation in
Pyongyang, DPR Korea, the Motherland of Taekwon-Do, from 16th to 20th
this coming May, where the tomb of late Gen. Choi Hong Hi is.
The Korean Taekwon-Do Committee is now working very hard to make this
ceremony memorable and success under the participation of all the Taekwon-Do
peoples throughout the world including South Korea.
The participants will definitely enjoy this ceremony including paying
the respects to Gen. Choi Hong Hi before his tomb and sightseeing his
legacies exhibited in Taekwon-Do Palace as well as the tours to the scenic
spots such as Mt. Myohyang where keeps and maintains the historical materials
of Korean traditional martial art, Taekwon-Do, as it was.
Availing myself of this opportunity, I am about to advise you all it is
the time to fulfill your duties and obligations as his students without
any remorse in the future.
I should again like to extend my greetings and appreciation to you and
wish all the members every success and best of luck in your future lives
and works.
Thank you
Prof. CHANG Ung
